Blake's Visitors

Blake has had quite a bit of family visit him since he was born. My sister, Tanya, was amazing and came to help us when Blake was first born. She took care of the girls while I was in the hospital. Since my parents are in Bermuda, they visit once or twice a week via Skype. The picture of us was taken recently, but they were able to meet Blake the day we came home from the hospital. I love how he is looking at them while the picture is being taken. Ashlyn took the picture, didn't she do a great job?! Every morning the kids ask for me to check the computer and see if Grandma and Grandpa are there so they can talk to them. Most of the time the girls get too silly and want to show off instead of talk, but every once in a while they will sit down and have a good conversation.

Trent's mom, Adele, was nice enough to come a few days after we got home from the hospital. She stayed for 4 days and played and played and played with the girls, as well as helped during all of our doctors appointments and with all the little things around the house. The were very sad to see her leave. (the picture was taken as she was about to leave for the airport). Trent's sister, Tennille, had a trip planned to visit here before we even knew when Blake was going to be coming. She was able to spend an afternoon with us and meet Blake. We were so glad to see her because we only get to see each other once or twice a year.

My other sister, Liisa, was brave enough to drive almost 7 hours with her 4 kids while her husband had to stay home and work. We decided that coming when Blake was first born might be more stressful, so she came when he was 6 weeks old. It's always fun when the cousins come. Ashlyn and Avery were in heaven. We didn't do much outside of the house because 7 kids and 2 moms makes it pretty hard to get out, but we had a blast anyway. Liisa was also a great help making lunches and breakfasts for all the kids and helping me with dinners and entertainment.




Trent's mom and dad, Phil and Adele, were able to come and visit this past week. They are here for Blake's blessing, and just a nice long vacation. It's always great to have them visit. This time they are staying for almost 3 weeks so they decided to rent a condo. All day long Ashlyn will ask me, "Mommy is it time to see Grandma Adele and Grandpa Phil yet?" The kids just love it when they come.

We have been so blessed to have family that will sacrifice what they are doing so they can visit us. It's hard living away from all of our family. We miss them all the time. Thank you all for coming to visit. Blake will really enjoy the pictures when he grows up. And to the rest of you out there who are too far away to visit... we miss you and can't wait until we are able to see you.
