Yesterday was Ashlyn's first day of school. She is now in First Grade and she goes to school all day long. It is quite the change for our family having her gone all day long. She was so excited to go to school and eat lunch there. Last week she got all prepared by choosing her first day of school outfit, choosing her Hannah Montana backpack, and deciding what she wanted me to make her for lunch. We woke up bright and early yesterday morning and got all ready for the big day.
She was excited to be in class with some of her best friends, especially after we were put on a different track than everyone we knew. Ashlyn's new teacher seems great and Ashlyn likes her class a lot. When I asked her what her favorite part of the day was she said, eating lunch at school and going to art class. We are so proud of her and can't wait to see her growth throughout this school year.
Even though Avery missed her sister a lot she was very happy to have the whole house to herself with no one there to tease her or fight with her. But, after all day of playing by herself and running errands with me she was very happy to play with Ashlyn when she got home.

She's growing up so fast. I bet it is very strange having her gone all day. Probably a lot more relaxing though. ;)
It brings back lots of great memories when you went to 1st grade! I know Ashlyn will do well and have lots of fun.
Ahhh! It's so crazy how fast they grow! She looks so cute and grown up!
