Pre-Christmas Randomness 2009

I was so excited for Christmas this year. I love to get together with family for the holidays. Last year we weren't able to be with Trent's family for Christmas since it is so far for us to drive. This year it was my family's turn. Since my parents just returned from their mission it was the first time that we would all be together over in 2 years. The day that we arrived was Trent and my 12th anniversary. My parents were so nice and watched the kids while we went to Park City for dinner. We went to one of our favorite restaurants right at the base of the mountain. I was laughing as we were driving because after 12 years all Trent gets from me is a hooded sweatshirt and a ponytail:) In my defense we had driven 7 hours that day and I was tired.

We had arrived at my parents house before any of the other cousins so we put the girls in their own room. This is how they looked when they first fell asleep. (yes, Ashlyn is sleeping in curlers:)

Literally 5 minutes later I went in to check on them and this is how they were.

We always knew that Avery flips and flops all over the place when she sleeps, but we never thought that she would actually roll over Ashlyn completely.

This next picture has really bad lighting, but I thought it was absolutely precious. My dad keeps a little keyboard in his home office and he is teaching himself how to play. Here he is teaching Ashlyn how to play Jingle Bells. It was great since the keyboard has a volume control, but then she realized she could play it on the grand piano. It got old really fast:) We were still very proud of how quickly she learned the song.

My mom made really yummy cake balls for her neighbors and the girls were thrilled when she asked them if they wanted to help her deliver them.

Ashlyn is a little helper. She loves to do anything that Grandma or Grandpa are doing.

A few days later the rest of the cousins arrived. They love to cook with Grandma, so here they all are (minus Connor) making chocolate chip cookies for Santa.

We had so much fun with all of our family and we experienced a lot while we were there. Stay tuned for lots more pictures:)
