A Visit With Grandma and Grandpa

A few weeks ago we were blessed to be visited by Grandma and Grandpa. We all get so excited when we are able to spend time with them. The kids want to do the same things with them every time they are here. They read together, play with them on their computers, and show them all the new things they've learned since the last time they saw them. Of course they enjoy making cookies with Grandma (and I enjoy eating them). Ashlyn was so excited for Grandma and Grandpa to watch her play soccer. They had never seen her play before so this was a very exciting event.
They love going for walks with Grandma, Grandpa, and Baylee. This time they also had to show them how they could ride their bikes.

We usually have a pretty relaxing time while they are here. We don't do a lot of touristy things, and we aren't on the "go" constantly. However, we do love to take them to some of our favorite places. This particular picture was us enjoying the day at the outdoor mall while eating frozen yogurt from Yogurtland.

One of the kids favorite things is when Grandpa makes "smoothies" for them every day. They know that the drinks have spinach in them and surprisingly that makes them love them even more. Every morning since Grandpa left the girls remind me that I have to make them their morning smoothie so that they can be smart and have lots of energy.

We love every second that we get to spend with Grandma and Grandpa. We wish that we could see them more often, but we'll take whatever time we can get. You can tell by the smiles in the pictures that the kids idolize their grandma and grandpa. We can't wait to see them again very soon.
