Between headaches, potty training, and lots of
goobery noses we have had quite the long and seemingly dull week, but I did manage to get some cute pictures. The girls had a great time playing in their tents in the backyard. It's nice that the yard is all shaded by 3:00 p.m. so that the kids can still play outside even though it is so hot. They love to bring out pillows, blankets and books and read in their little forts.
Ashlyn had her last gymnastics class on Saturday. She only had 4 lessons before the summer break, but she really learned a lot. She has a very strong upper body and loves to walk up the wall.
She is so proud of herself because she learned how to do a cartwheel. Of course her legs don't go straight up yet, but she does a great job for a four year old!
Another one of her favorite things is to climb up the rock wall. This is a lot more challenging than any of the other things she worked on, but she is determined to make it up that wall soon.
Since we haven't finished our backyard yet I didn't get my garden built in time to plant this year, so we improvised. We planted one little tomato plant in a pot for the kids. We have had 2 red tomatoes so far. The kids get so excited when they see a red one because they know they can pick it and eat it. There are lots of green ones coming, so hopefully soon we will be able to have more than one each.

Looks like you had a great week. Congrats on the gymnastics class and the cartwheel. Where is she taking at? Hope potty training is going well.
With your first successful vegetable 'garden' this year, next year you can plant everyone in the family their own. I'm going to try a tomato plant next year too. I would love to see Ashlyn do her gymnastics. Hope you took a video too.
Looks like a fun week! That is such a good idea putting the tents in the backyard...Too Cute! It looks like they had fun. Where did you take Ashlyn to gymnastics? I want to go check out a couple of places for Madi over the next couple of weeks!
To others, what you have been doing sounds very eventful even if it doesn't seem like much to you. Congrats on the tomatoes. I can barely keep two plants alive.
Ok, so I think that everyone wants to know where Ashlyn is taking gymnastics!! That is fun putting the tent in the backyard! Hope you are feeling well.
