Avery was very nervous to jump in the water.
She did a great job kicking around the pool.
She could kick her legs, move her arms, and blow bubbles all at the same time.
Avery was very nervous for the back float, but now that is all she wants to do in the bath tub.
Here is the video of Avery swimming out to the ring at the bottom of the pool. As you will see she did not want to go to the bottom to get it. Her teacher was great and knew that she could do it. Although she was scared and probably won't do it again for a while, she was very proud of herself when she was done. We were so proud of her. The best part is she doesn't scream as loud when she gets water in her face while taking a bath:)

I'm so glad you posted the video! Yazzi is so scared of the water and i had her watch the video and now she's excited to go swim. She keeps telling me she wants to watch the video of the little girl go under the water and kick her legs:)
Wow! She did such a good job! I can't believe that she went under the water that long in that video clip! Way to go Avery!

I think floating on the back is scarey for most kids - at least that is what my girls swim teacher says. McKinley has been doing swim lessons for two years and still hates her back. We start this week, so we will see how she does this year.
She is so cute! I love the first picture where she looks really worried and scared. She was probably really nervous to go underwater to get the ring.
Way to go. Avery!! She has a great teacher who seems to know how far to push. She'll be a little fish in no time.
